    Hello,

We have Role Editor installed in a multi-site network.

Under Settings – I have the license entered, and the plugin indicates that the key is approved/ entered. A green “Installed” is shown to the right of the license key.

I am trying to update from 4.20 to 4.21.1 .

When I go to update – a message appears “Update Failed: Plugin update failed”

I did a manual update the last time there was an update – but I prefer not to have to do this for each update.

I would just like to add my voice to this question as I am having the same issue. I am also running the plugin in a multi-site environment, and the license is stored in the config file.

I have 4.21.1 and when trying to do the update to 4.23.1 through the dashboard, I get the same error message, and am forced to manually update.

Would appreciate any guidance you could provide with this. Thank you!

    Thanks for the information.
I suppose that you get this error when you tried update URE Pro from ‘Plugins’ page?
I will work on the fix.

As a workaround the update works as expected via ‘Dashboard->Updates’.

    Hi,

I found and fixed the bug with plugin update from the WordPress multisite “Network Admin – Plugins” page. I will include this fix into the next update.

Great, thanks Vladimir. I just updated to 4.23.2 through dashboard->updates, thanks for the tip!
