Restrict user to single post

Hi!

I’ve installed the pro version.
I have my role “pepperRole” setup to:
1. Edit published posts
2. Edit posts
3. Read

I have my “Pepper” user assigned to this “pepperRole” created above.
Also for this user under “Posts/Pages/Custom Post Types Editor Restrictions”, I have the ‘Allow’ selected and ‘with post ID (comma separated)’ filled in with the single PostID I want the user to edit.

When I go to this specific post, and scroll to the bottom, I have “Allow Access” set for this pepperRole.

When I login with the Pepper user, I see no posts though.

What am I missing?

Hi,

Is this user an author of this post? If he is not, ‘edit_others_posts’ capability is required.

This module does not give new permissions to the user. It just restricts the existing permissions.

Meta box at the bottom of the post is related to ‘view’ permission for this post at front-end. If you plan to show this post not to the pepperRole only, you don’t need to setup this view restriction.
