Why can’t we just renew our plugin premium license?

Our manager purchased one of the plugins, User Role Editor PRO a few years ago and the license had expired.

Today, we tried to renew the plugin license but there was no option to renew expired license which I thought was crazy.

So, with my manager’s permission, I signed up with my own account, purchased the plugin but still till now, I don’t have the plugin.

Is this really an efficient business practice?
