Restrict files in Media Library to Subscriber role or higher

I’m using a plugin called Ultimate Membership Pro and am able to restrict access to specific PDf files to my logged in Subscribers. However, I want to also prevent direct access to these PDF files unless the user is #1. Logged in and #2 has a role of at least Subscriber.

In other words, I want to prevent direct access to files unless they are logged in.

Is there any way to accomplish this through URE Pro?

No, it’s not possible with URE Pro. URE Pro provide access management for WordPress UI only, while direct access to the files via URL is managed by web server software, e.g Apache or Nginx.
