Hi,

All modifications applied to the user roles are permanent.

The only thing which will be deleted with URE Pro together – its settings – stored in the WP database. So you can delete URE Pro via WordPress and install and configure free version from scratch.

Also you can just deactivate Pro version, delete its user-role-editor-pro folder via FTP and install/activate free version.
