Hello. I was modifying the list of available meta boxes under the “Meta Boxes” option. On the right side of this modal window there is an X button next to each Meta Box. Once you click that, the Meta Box is removed and can no longer be selected.
Is there any way to restore a deleted meta box? I need to get it back to be able to prohibit usage. It seems like a massive oversight to be able to delete this and never get it back.
In order to restore deleted meta box just visit a page for which it is registered (where it is shown) – like posts editor, etc.. User Role Editor will remember it and will show at the list of meta boxes for blocking as earlier.
A reason – meta box exists just at the page where it is shown. So you have to visit a page with meta boxes in order to let URE know about existing meta boxes.
