Custom role author based doesn’t works with “add page”

Hello,

I created the custom role (nammed “marketing”), based from author role.
Users of this group must be able to create, modify and delete all articles and some specific and pages.
So, in Post Edit Access modal options, I’ve allowed “Article (post)” and “Page (page)” checkbox and put IDs of specific pages in “with post ID (comma separated)” field.
When I do this, all is correct but I when a want to create a new page, page is blank.

If I check “Own data only” checkbox, users of this group can create new page but don’t see articles (because not created by these users)

How can I resolve this ?

Hi,

I see the only way to solve this task – create 2 roles:
1) create, modify and delete all articles and create, edit, delete pages only;
2) edit specific pages from other users according restriction by its ID.
Grant those role to different WP users. When someone need to work with role 1 he logins with user 1, when with role 2 – he re-logins with user 2.

Is this workaround applicable for in your case?
