Assign editors to selected authors

I’m working on a site that has about 42 authors. We’ll have about 10-20 editors and they will be assigned to certain authors. Ideally the editors will only be able to edit, publish, and delete content created by the authors they are assigned to.

Will the plugin allow me to assign editors to specific authors?

It’s possible to realize similar access model with ‘Edit restrictions‘ add-on. But will need some special efforts with terms structure and restrictions criteria. Read this article to look how you can use categories to separate edit access between different authors and editors.

I almost had this figured out. The article made it obvious that I needed to enter the ID of the managed authors, not the user names. Small oversight.
